MeetingBS (“we,” “our,” or “the service”) is a web application and browser extension that analyzes meeting recordings to identify time wasted, off-topic tangents, and corporate buzzwords. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Audio recordings: When you upload a meeting recording or use the MeetingBS Recorder browser extension, your audio file is temporarily processed to generate a transcript and analysis. Audio is uploaded to secure cloud storage (Supabase) and sent to AssemblyAI for transcription.
Meeting analysis data: The transcript, speaker labels, classification results, and analysis metrics are stored in our database so you can access your results via a shareable URL.
No account required: We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information. You do not need to create an account to use MeetingBS.
Extension preferences: The browser extension stores your meeting title and speaker count preferences locally in your browser using Chrome’s storage API. This data never leaves your device.
MeetingBS uses the following third-party services to process your data:
AssemblyAI (assemblyai.com) — Transcribes your audio and identifies speakers. Audio is sent to AssemblyAI’s servers for processing. See their privacy policy at assemblyai.com/privacy.
Anthropic (anthropic.com) — Analyzes the transcript to classify meeting segments. Transcript text is sent to Anthropic’s API. See their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
Supabase (supabase.com) — Stores audio files and analysis results. Data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database. See their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
Meeting analyses are stored indefinitely so shareable URLs remain accessible. Audio files may be deleted from storage after processing is complete. We do not currently offer a self-service deletion tool, but you can contact us to request deletion of your data.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Audio files and analysis results are stored in Supabase with row-level security. We do not sell or share your data with third parties outside of the services listed above.
The MeetingBS Recorder Chrome extension:
MeetingBS is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
